Marion

 


MARION - Founded 1748. Named for General Marion, a Revolutionary War general. Marion was first known as Independence, but by the time a post office was opened in this Franklin County village, the village was known as Marion. You can find Marion at the intersection of US 11 and PA 914, between Chambersburg and Greencastle.
